Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate
Composition
Description
Trace minerals are vital for optimal productivity and the prevention of deficiency symptoms in animals. As an essential trace mineral, zinc serves as a critical component of numerous enzyme systems—including carbonic anhydrase, alcohol dehydrogenase, alkaline phosphatase, and DNA/RNA polymerases—which directly influence carbohydrate, protein, lipid, and nucleic acid metabolism. Zinc is also a structural component of thymosin, a hormone that regulates cell-mediated immunity, and plays a key role in modulating luteal function. Adequate zinc intake is required for normal physical growth, tissue repair, and the cell division process. Furthermore, zinc is essential for gene expression, growth, hormone production, metabolism, appetite control, immune function, wound healing, epithelial maintenance, and the preservation of structural integrity and overall health of the hoof and udder.
