Vitamin B Complex

Composition

Each ml contains:

Thiamine HCL BP 50 mg.
Riboflavin Sodium Phosphate BP 5 mg.
Pyridoxine HCl BP 5 mg.
Nicotinamide BP 100 mg.
Cal D Pentothenate BP 10 mg.
Inositol USPNF 2 mg.
DL-Methionine BP 5 mg.
Cyanocobalamin BP 2 mcg.

Indications

Ruminants:

B50-Vet is indicated for the treatment of inappetance, weakness, ataxia, paresis, anorexia, and diarrhoea.
The formulation helps manage signs characteristic of polyencephalomalacia, including blindness, head pressing, convulsions, paralysis, and opisthotonos.
It is additionally used for addressing poor growth, loss of hair, skin lesions, lacrimation, and salivation.
The product also provides relief from scours, metabolic disorders, microcytic hypochromic anaemia, and nervous disorders.
It further aids in treating scaly dermatitis around the mouth and muzzle, as well as leukopenia.

Horses:

B50-Vet is indicated for addressing lethargy, anorexia, and weight loss.
The formulation is also utilized for managing ataxia, cardiac arrhythmias, muscle tremors, and convulsions.

Dogs:

B50-Vet is indicated for the management of anorexia, emesis, depression, and paraparesis.
The product additionally helps resolve torticollis, circling, and convulsions.
It is also prescribed for clinical signs of black tongue or brown mouth, cheilosis, glossitis, and gingivitis.
The treatment further assists in cases of bloody diarrhoea and cardiomyopathy.

Dosage & Administration

Route of Administration: IM injection 3 times weekly.

Large Animals (Cattle, Buffalo, Horse): 5–10 ml daily.
Small Animals (Sheep, Goat, Dog, Cat): 1–2 ml daily.

Interaction

Riboflavin reduces the antibiotic activity of solutions of streptomycin, tetracyclines, potassium supplements, neomycin etc have been found to impair cobalamin absorption. There is no evidence that they have a significant effect on the utilization of cobalamin given as therapy

Contraindications

B50 Vet injection should not be used in animals hypersensitive to the active ingredient.

Side Effects

B50 Vet injection has no common side effects at the recommended dose.

Pregnancy & Lactation

B50 Vet injection is safe in pregnant and lactating animals.

Precautions & Warnings

B50 Vet injection should be used by the intramuscular route only. Because it may cause shock due to the presence of procaine HCl and phenol.
