Furosemide
Composition
Each bolus contains Furosemide BP 2 g.
Description
Fusid-Vet enhances urine production by decreasing the efficiency of the sodium reabsorption process, resulting in increased water elimination from the body.
Indications
Animals:
Fusid-Vet is indicated for the treatment of ascites, udder edema, pulmonary congestion, renal failure, and acute non-inflammatory tissue edema.
The formulation also aids in the excretion of toxins or drug overdoses by promoting increased urine flow.
Dosage & Administration
Route of Administration: Oral in feed.
Fish: Mix 15 kg with each 100 kg of feed.
Or as directed by an animal consultant.
Contraindications
Contraindicated in animals hypersensitive to furosemide.
Side Effects
Common side effects: Increased urination, alkalosis, uric acid retention, and may rarely produce acute gout, hyperglycaemia, and glycosuria.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Can be used in pregnant and lactating animals. However, risk and necessity should be considered during administration in pregnant and lactating animals.
Storage Conditions
Keep away from light and wet places. Store below 30°C.
Withdrawal Period
Meat: 2 days, Milk: 2 days, and Egg: duration not established.
