Description
DL-Methionine is a concentrated form of methionine, an essential amino acid of critical importance in poultry nutrition. Because it cannot be synthesized endogenously by poultry, dietary supplementation of DL-Methionine in finished feed is essential to optimize performance and productivity.
A deficiency of DL-Methionine results in a decreased growth rate, poor feathering, reduced egg production in layers, cannibalism, impaired feed efficiency, and a reduction in both egg weight and size.
