Parakil Plus Vet

Each ml injectable solution contains Ivermectin BP 10 mg and Clorsulon USP 100 mg.

Parakil Plus Vet contains Ivermectin, a derivative of the avermectin family of potent, broad-spectrum anthelmintics. Ivermectin binds selectively and with high affinity to glutamate-gated chloride ion channels, increasing the permeability of the cell membrane to chloride ions. This results in the hyperpolarization of nerve or muscle cells, causing paralysis and death of the parasite. It provides reliable, long-lasting parasite control in cattle for the effective treatment and control of internal and external parasitic infections, as well as protection against re-infection. Clorsulon, a member of the benzenesulfonamide family, acts as a flukicide. It kills parasites by inhibiting the enzymes involved in the glycolytic pathway, which serves as the primary energy source for flukes, and also depresses adenosine triphosphate (ATP) levels within the parasites.

Route of Administration: SC injection only (under loose skin of shoulder).

Ketoprofen injection is tested and clinically well tolerated. However, GI upset may occur, similar to that seen with other NSAIDs.

Safe in pregnant and lactating animals.

This combination should not be used by intravenous or intramuscular route.

Store the vial in the carton to protect from light. Avoid freezing. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.

Meat: 21 days must not be consumed after administration.
