Description

Metamax Vet is a pre-constituted injectable solution formulated to activate and optimize metabolic function in animals. In large and small animals, it enhances reproductive efficiency, improves the general condition of cattle, increases daily weight gain, improves fertility, and is effective against sickness-related metabolic stress. In layers, it improves the quality and quantity of eggs, and it rapidly increases weight in broilers.

Indications

Livestock:

Metamax Vet is indicated for the correction of metabolic disorders in domesticated animals.
The formulation also aids in fattening and improving fur shine.
It is additionally used to manage mycotoxin and feed toxicity, as well as liver toxicity.
The product assists in preventing postpartum difficulties related to the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals.
It further supports optimal liver health against fluke infestations.
The injection helps increase the metabolic activity of concurrent medications.
It is also utilized to prevent milk fever, ketosis, grass tetany, and neonatal hypoglycemia.
The formulation provides supportive therapy following anthelmintic treatments.
It additionally serves to alleviate physical weakness.

Dosage & Administration

Route of Administration: IM, SC, or IV injection.

Cattle, Buffaloes & Horse: 10–25 ml daily.
Calf & Foal: 5–12 ml daily.
Goat & Sheep: 2.5–5 ml daily.
Dog: 0.5–5 ml daily.
Cat: 0.5–2.5 ml daily.
Poultry: 0.5–1 ml per 1–2 L of drinking water daily.

Interaction

Oxytetracycline may interact with other medications such as oral antacids.

Side Effects

The combination is well tolerated at the recommended dose. However, a low incidence of soft-tissue swelling at the injection site may be observed. These reactions will disappear without any treatment within 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Scientific data show that the combination is safe in the pregnant and lactating period of animals.
