Kop-Vet®
InjectionComposition
Each ml injectable solution contains Ketoprofen BP 100 mg.
Indications
Livestock:
Dosage & Administration
Route of Administration: IM or IV injection every 24 hours.
Interaction
Concurrent use of corticosteroids and other NSAIDs may greatly increase the risk of gastrointestinal ulceration and renal papillary necrosis.
Contraindications
The drug should not be used in animals hypersensitive to the active ingredient.
Side Effects
Generally well tolerated. GI upset may occur, similar to that seen with other NSAIDs.
Pregnancy & Lactation
The effects of ketoprofen on fertility, pregnancy, or foetal health of horses have not been determined. Kop Vet should not be administered to pregnant mares. Kop Vet Inj may be given to pregnant and lactating cattle.
Precautions & Warnings
Avoid intra-arterial injection. Do not exceed the stated dose or duration of treatment.
Withdrawal Period
Cattle — IV: Meat: 1 day; IM: Meat: 4 days; Milk: No withdrawal period required. Pigs — Meat: 4 days.
