Each ml solution contains Florfenicol INN 200 mg.

Description

Floricol-Vet contains florfenicol, a synthetic broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against most Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria isolated from domestic animals. As a fluorinated derivative of chloramphenicol, florfenicol acts by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit of bacteria, thereby inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis and exhibiting a bacteriostatic effect.

Indications

Livestock and Poultry:

Floricol-Vet is indicated for the preventive and therapeutic treatment of gastrointestinal and respiratory tract infections.
These infections are caused by florfenicol-sensitive microorganisms such as Actinobacillus spp, Pasteurella spp, Salmonella spp, and Streptococcus spp.
The presence of the disease in the herd should be established before preventive treatment.
Medication should be initiated promptly when respiratory disease is diagnosed.

Dosage & Administration

Route of Administration: Oral via drinking water (stir continuously while mixing).

Poultry: 1 ml per 2 L of drinking water (20–30 mg/kg body weight) for 3–5 days.

Or as directed by a registered veterinarian.

Contraindications

Do not administer in case of previous hypersensitivity to Florfenicol.

Precautions & Warnings

Can be used only under supervision of a registered veterinarian. Complete the full course according to the prescription. Dosage and administration must be as per prescription.

Storage Conditions

Store below 30°C. Protect from direct sunlight. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.

Withdrawal Period
